  • Chase Wins Distributor Leadership Award

    Sarasota, Florida – October 18th, 2016 – At the annual AkzoNobel Distributor Conference in Sarasota Florida Chase Auto Body Supplies was presented with the prestigious AkzoNobel Distributor Leadership Award.

    This award is given to the distributor within the entire Canadian Distribution network that contributes in communication, and working with AkzoNobel through cooperative alignment to provide more overall value for their customers. The award is presented to the distributor that drives innovation, leverages tools and resources in providing excellent customer service, and has a keen focus of reinvesting back into their business. They are active in industry charities and focused on sustainable (long-term) sales growth through collaborative market planning in the markets they serve.

    Why Chase was selected

    • Chase has been an AkzoNobel distributor for over 32 years (1984) beginning with humble roots in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Chase is very active in all Industry, network and charitable events that keep the market up to date and current.
    • Chase has a very sustainable business model; they are investing back in their people and are developing an internal/external training curriculum. Along with training, they have three existing training facilities they currently operate and are opening a fourth in Vancouver, BC in 2017.
    • They invested in a cutting edge end-user automated Inventory system (KUBE IMDS) that will assist end-users in minimizing stock levels and predictability.
    • Chase employees support and lead ICAR training programs in Western Canada.
    • They proactively encourage and implement Mutual Action Plans with each of their large MVC/MSO in market.
    • They recognized the demand for more lean processes and have put a structure in place to support PCE procedures. Along with AkzoNobel Services consultants they support the AkzoNobel RPG’s and PCE value-add to end-users.
    • It isn’t always about the service side of the business; they have maintained volume and grew sales regardless of recent economic struggles in Western Canada.

  • Chase Promotes a New Manitoba Market Manager

    Terry Sharanowski has been promoted to the position of Manitoba Market Manager for Chase Auto Body Supplies Ltd. effective March 1, 2016.

    Terry has been working as the PBE Distributors Inc. territory representative in Manitoba/Saskatchewan and the results speak for themselves over the last 5 years. Terry brings with him a tireless work ethic, a wealth of industry knowledge and the ability to develop long and strong relationships. We, at Chase, are very excited to be adding Terry to our team.

    Terry will be based in Winnipeg at the head office.

  • AkzoNobel signs global supply agreement with Daimler AG

    Daimler AG has signed an agreement with AkzoNobel Performance Coatings making the company one of the approved suppliers of vehicle refinishes to Daimler dealerships and approved bodyshops worldwide.

    The contract covers the supply and support of AkzoNobel’s Sikkens brand to the company’s dealership network including Mercedes-Benz, Smart, and Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles.

    "We are delighted to have been approved as a global supplier for one of the world’s leading automotive companies," said Jörg Anders, a Key Account Manager in AkzoNobel’s Vehicle Refinishes business. "The deal reflects the industry’s trust in our products and services, our strength in product innovation and color matching, and in particular the range of services and support that we offer our customers."”

    The approval was achieved after extensive analysis and tests of Sikkens products and a thorough investigation of industrial and business processes run at AkzoNobel, which demonstrated compliance with the highest automotive industry standards.

    Daimler said the partnership with AkzoNobel will support the company’s growth plans in the worldwide body and paint business: It added that AkzoNobel’s product range and product quality is greatly respected by the industry and is delivered with a high level of service and support
